Major League Baseball pitcher Ryan Donald Feltner is an American who currently plays for the Colorado Rockies. He was born in the United States on September 2nd, 1996.
It wasn’t until 2021 that he made his major league debut. Walsh Jesuit High School in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, served as Feltner’s tertiary education institution.
In his senior year in 2015, he was named Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year for Ohio and Plain Dealer Baseball Pitcher of the Year.
The Toronto Blue Jays drafted Feltner in the 25th round of the 2015 Major League Baseball draft, although he never signed a contract with the organization. Instead, he enrolled in and played baseball for the University of Ohio.
He was a member of the Brewster Whitecaps of the Cape Cod Baseball League during the summer of 2016. he returned to play for Bourne Braves the following season and was named an all-star for the league.
For the Bourne Braves, he remained in the league in 2018. The Colorado Rockies picked him following his junior year in college in the fourth round of the 2018 MLB draft.
Feltner was given his first opportunity to play in the major leagues five days later, on September 5, 2021, when he was added to the 40-man roster of his team.
On that day, he made his debut in Major League Baseball, and against the Atlanta Braves, he was responsible for the loss after he allowed 6 earned runs in 2.2 innings of work.
