American professional baseball player Charles Cobb Blackmon, also known as Charlie Blackmon or “Chuck Nazty,” plays outfield for the Colorado Rockies. He is 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 221 pounds.

While attending North Gwinnett High School, Charlie participated in baseball as an outfielder and a left-handed pitcher for the school’s squad. He played baseball for two years at Young Harris College after graduating from high school before transferring to Georgia Tech on a baseball scholarship.

Charlie participated in the Cape Cod Baseball League’s Cotuit Kettleers during his collegiate years. The Colorado Rockies selected him in the second round of the 2008 MLB Draft. That same year, he was made to play with the Tri-City Dust Devils. In 2009, the Rockies promoted him to the Modesto Nuts.

In May 2017, Charlie won his first NL Player of the Month Award. Additionally, the Rockies and Charlie reached an agreement on a six-year, $108 million contract deal in April 2018.
