The Colorado Rockies baseball team’s third baseman and outfielder are Kristopher Lee Bryant. He was born on January 4, 1992, in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the United States to parents Mike and Sue Bryant.
When he was in high school, he played baseball for the school’s baseball team at Bonanza High School in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 18th round of the 2010 MLB Draft but he declined to sign with them and chose to play college baseball at the University of San Diego.
The Chicago Cubs drafted him out of college in the 2013 MLB draft. He signed with them and was assigned in 2014 to spend the season with the Tennessee Smokies of the Class AA Southern League. That year, he won the Home Run Derby award. He was promoted during the season to the Iowa Cubs of the Class AAA Pacific Coast League.
The Cubs called him up to the major leagues in April 2015 and he made his MLB debut on April 17 that year for the Cubs. The San Francisco Giants purchased his contract from the Cubs in July 2021. He signed a seven-year contract worth $182 million with the Colorado Rockies in March 2022.
