American third baseman and outfielder Kristopher Lee Bryant plays for the Colorado Rockies of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Kris formerly participated in MLB games with the San Francisco Giants and Chicago Cubs. Bryant played college baseball for the Toreros while attending the University of San Diego before turning pro.

Bryant was Bonanza High School’s standout baseball player. He received the Dick Howser Trophy and Golden Spikes Award in 2013 and was named an All-American in college in 2012, and 2011.

He was chosen by the Cubs with the second overall pick in the 2013 MLB Draft, and he immediately rose to the top of the baseball prospect rankings. In 2014, he won the USA Today and Baseball America Minor League Player of the Year Awards.

Bryant debuted in the major leagues in 2015. In addition to being chosen as an MLB All-Star, he was also named the National League’s (NL) Rookie of the Year.

In 2016, he was once again chosen as an All-Star, helped the Cubs win the World Series, and was awarded the NL’s Most Valuable Player. Prior to the 2022 season, he signed a seven-year deal with the Rockies after being acquired from the Cubs in a 2021 trade for the Giants.
