On April 9, 2019, the Rockies made Daza their first promotion to the major leagues due to David Dahl’s injury. On the same day, Daza faced the Atlanta Braves in his major league debut.
Despite David Dahl’s injuries and Ian Desmond’s decision to forego the season due to the COVID-19 epidemic, Daza did not play in a single game for the Rockies in 2020.
