Randal Alexander Grichuk is a professional American Baseball outfielder for the Colorado Rockies who was born on August 13, 1991, in Rosenberg, Texas in the United States. He has also played in the Major League Baseball for the St. Louis Cardinals and Toronto Blue Jays.
His early life indicates that he went to Lamar Consolidated High School in Rosenberg, Texas, where he initially developed an interest in baseball. He earned the first team all-state honors and the All-Houston Area MVP award there.
He was thought to have started his professional career in 2009 with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim after being selected with the 24th overall pick in the first round. He spent some time with the Angels before being included on November 20, 2013, in their 40-man roster.
He then joined the St Louis Cardinals of Major League Baseball in the year 2014 where he began the 2014 season with the Memphis Redbirds of the Class AAA Pacific Coast League. He was promoted to the majors on April 28, 2014. He was known to have joined the Toronto Blue Jays on January 19, 2018.
