Zach Robert Plesac is an American Major League Baseball pitcher for the Cleveland Guardians. Zach Plesac made his Major League Baseball debut with the Guardians in 2019.

Plesac grew up in Crown Point, Indiana, and went to Crown Point High School, where he excelled. Plesac was a CPHS standout in football, basketball, and baseball.

In 2014, he enrolled at Ball State University and began playing college baseball for the Cardinals.

He was named Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Freshman Pitcher of the Year after posting a 12-2 record with a 2.11 earned run average (ERA) and six saves in 25 games played, six of which he started.

He was also a National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Freshman All-American, a Louisville Slugger Third Team All-American, the Mid-American Conference Freshman Pitcher of the Year, and a Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American.

He earned All-MAC Second Team accolades in 2015 after going 5-5 with a 3.27 ERA in 16 starts.

That year, he also pitched for the Wareham Gatemen of the Cape Cod League, going 0-2 with an 11.88 ERA.

The Cleveland Indians chose Plesac in the 12th round (362nd overall) of the 2016 Major League Baseball Draft. On June 29, 2016, Plesac signed with the team for a $100,000 signing bonus, but he did not participate in the season.
