On August 31, 2020, the Padres dealt Quantrill to the Cleveland Indians in exchange for Mike Clevinger, Greg Allen, and Matt Waldron, as well as minor leaguers Austin Hedges, Josh Naylor, and Gabriel Arias, Owen Miller, and Joe Cantillo.
Quantrill pitched in eight games for the 2020 Cleveland Indians, going 0-1 with a 1.84 ERA and 13 strikeouts in 14+2/3 innings.
