Bryan Lavastida happens to be a professional baseball player currently in the major leagues and positions as a catcher for the Cleveland Guardians baseball team. He is 1.83 m tall and weighs 91 kg.
Bryan was born and raised in Hialeah in Florida on November 27, 1998. He played high school baseball at Westland Hialeah Senior High School after which he played college baseball at Hillsborough Community College.
After he graduated from college, the Cleveland Guardians drafted him in the 15th round of the 2018 MLB draft. The Guardians assigned him that same season to the Arizona League Indians where he made his professional debut.
He played for both the Mahoning Valley Scrappers and the Lake County Captains in the 2019 minor league season. The 2020 season was cancelled so he did not play in any game that season.
During the 2021 season, he was assigned to play with Lake County and earned a promotion during the season to the Akron RubberDucks. He was promoted again to the Columbus Clippers in September of that year.
The Cleveland Guardians added Bryan to their 40-man roster in November 2021. He was named to the Guardians Opening Day roster in April 2022 and he made his MLB debut on April 10, 2022, for the team.
