Rocchio played in 60 games in his first season as a pro while hitting.335 on both levels. He played baseball with the Mahoning Valley Scrappers in the Low-A level for the entire 2019 season.
He played in 69 games and batted .250 in all those contests. Since the COVID-19 epidemic forced the postponement of the minor league season in 2020, he hasn’t participated in a minor league game.
Brayan Hommy Rocchio is currently a shortstop for the Cleveland Guardians in professional baseball. He was born on January 13, 2001, and he is currently 21 years old. He is a native of Caracas, Venezuela. In July 2017, the Cleveland Indians signed Rocchio as a free agent from abroad.
Rocchio made his career debut in 2018 with the Dominican Summer League’s Indians.
Rocchio was promoted to the Arizona League Indians after batting.323 in 25 games for the DSL Indians. He participated in 35 games for the AZL Indians, and during those games, he had an even better season, batting .343.
Rocchio missed the entire 2020 season because of the pandemic, but he didn’t show much rust when he started the 2021 season in High-A. As a 19-year-old slashing .265/.337/.428 for the Lake County Captains, he hit a then-career-high nine home runs.
Rocchio joined the Cleveland Guardians, who had just changed their identity, on November 19, 2021.
