George Valera is an American professional baseball outfielder who currently plays with the Cleveland Guardians organization. George Valera was born on November 13, 2000.
Queens, New York is where Valera was born, but when he was 13 years old, he relocated to San Pedro de Macoris in the Dominican Republic with his family.
In July of 2017, he became a member of the Cleveland Indians organization after signing as an international free agent.
In 2018, Valera made his debut in the professional ranks with the Arizona League Indians, where he batted.333 over the course of six games.
He began the 2019 season playing with the Mahoning Valley Scrappers, but was moved up to the Lake County Captains around the end of the regular season. He played for both clubs for a total of 52 games and had a batting average of.217 with eight home runs and 32 RBIs.

On November 19, 2021, the team that would later be known as the Cleveland Guardians made the decision to add Valera to their 40-man roster.
