Stuart Fairchild’s full name is Stuart Alexander Fairchild. He was born and raised in Seattle Washington where he began his baseball career. He played baseball for his high school at Seattle Preparatory School in the Capitol Hill district of Seattle, Washington in the USA.

After high school, he continued at Wake Forest University where he played college baseball for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. He also played collegiate summer baseball in 2016 with the Chatham Anglers of the Cape Cod Baseball League.

When he graduated from college, he was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 2nd round in the 38th overall selection of the 2017 MLB draft. He agreed to play and signed with them for a $1,802,800 signing bonus. He then began playing baseball professionally that season with the rookie-level Billings Mustangs.

The Reds traded him in August 2020 to the Arizona Diamondbacks. When the 2020 season was over, he was added to the Diamondback’s 40-man roster and was made to play for the Triple-A Reno Aces in the 2021 season. The Diamondbacks promoted him to the major leagues in July 2021 and he made his MLB debut for the team on July 6, 2021.

The Diamondbacks traded him to the Seattle Mariners in April 2022.  The Mariners also traded him in May 2022 to the San Francisco Giants. He was claimed off waivers by the Cincinnati Reds in June 2022.
