Connor Overton, born Connor Danford Overton is a professional baseball player in the Major leagues known to play as a pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds baseball team of Major League Baseball.
He played amateur baseball at Atlee High School. He then continued at Old Dominion University where he played college baseball for the Old Dominion Monarchs baseball team. He was drafted by the Miami Marlins during the 2014 MLB draft.
He signed with the Marlins and made his professional debut that year with the Low-A Batavia Muckdogs. He spent the following season with the Single-A Greensboro Grasshoppers. During the season, the Marlins let him go and he signed a minor league contract with the Washington Nationals in July 2015.
That season, he was assigned by the Nationals to play for both the Low-A Auburn Doubledays and the Triple-A Syracuse Chiefs. He elected free agency in November of that year. He later signed with the Sioux City Explorers of the independent American Association of Professional Baseball in April 2016.
The 2020 season was cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic thud there was no game to be played that season. He made his MLB debut for the Blue Jays on August 12, 2021. He signed a minor league contract with the Cincinnati Reds before the 2021 season ended.
