TBS is an American pay television network owned by Warner Bros. Except for the compulsory public affairs and educational programming, WTBS’s schedule was essentially identical to that of the national feed. Comedic programming, including sitcoms and other shows, became a more prominent focus for TBS in the early 2000s.
To coincide with Turner’s October 1, 2007 conversion of TBS into a traditional basic cable network, the network has now begun to be carried by area cable providers, as well as by satellite providers DirecTV and Dish Network, in the Atlanta market.
When Turner sold Peachtree TV to Meredith Corporation in 2017, Gray Television bought it in 2021 and rebranded it as WPCH-TV (branded as “Peachtree TV”), it was simultaneously relaunched as a typical independent station with a different schedule exclusively devoted to the Atlanta market.
