American lawyer, politician, and officer in the United States Army Reserve Lee Michael Zeldin is well-known. David Zeldin and Merrill Schwartz are his parents. He attended William Floyd High School in Suffolk County, New York, where he was raised. In 1998, he obtained his diploma. He went to Hebrew school as well.
In 2001, Zeldin graduated with a bachelor’s in political science from SUNY University at Albany. In May 2003, he graduated with his Juris Doctor from Albany Law School. He was accepted into the New York State Bar in 2004. Zeldin started working as a lawyer with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey in 2007.
Zeldin supported Donald Trump wholeheartedly when he was in power. Regarding the Trump-Ukraine affair during the initial impeachment process, he backed Trump wholeheartedly. Zeldin voted against the certification of Arizona’s and Pennsylvania’s electoral votes after Trump lost the 2020 presidential election and falsely accused there was voting fraud.
Zeldin declared his intention to run for governor of New York in April 2022. After defeating three opponents to win the Republican gubernatorial primary, he is the nominee of both the Republican Party and the Conservative Party.
