A professional American football group with its home field in Chicago is known as the Bears.
The National Football Conference North division, of which the Bears are a part, is where the team plays in the National Football League.
The Bears are the league leaders in both the number of players inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the number of jersey numbers that have been retired. They have won nine NFL Championships, including one Super Bowl.
More victories than any other NFL team have been achieved by the Bears. The company was established on September 20, 1919, in Decatur, Illinois, and it turned professional on September 17, 1920. In 1921, it relocated to Chicago.
Along with the Arizona Cardinals, who were initially also from Chicago, it is one of just two franchises from the NFL’s 1920 foundation that is still in existence.
