Who is the best Miami Dolphins player ever?

Dan Marino

The Miami Dolphins, who debuted in 1966, rapidly gained notoriety in the NFL for their peculiar tropical color palette.

Don Shula took over and immediately turned the team from a laughingstock to a contender after four miserable seasons at the bottom of the league’s food chain.

Due in major part to the famed scouting abilities of Don Shula and Jimmy Johnson, the Dolphins have produced some of the best players in NFL history since that time.

There have been many players who have contributed to the Dolphins’ illustrious history, from the team’s turnaround in 1970 through the current squad.

Who is the best Miami Dolphins player ever?

The greatest player in Dolphins history is Dan Marino. Every significant passing statistic in the history of the NFL was held by Marino when he left the league

He had 61,361 yards, 420 touchdowns, 8,358 attempts, and 4,967 completions towards the end of his career. He frequently held the league record for yards (5 times), touchdowns (3 times), throw attempts (5 times), and completions (6 times).

It was impossible to grasp his waning dominance. In his career, he passed for 3,000 yards or more 13 times, including the six seasons in which he passed for 4,000 yards. He completed 63 passes for 300 yards or more in a game and 13 passes for 400 yards or more.

Even though Marino had a great arm, he only went to the Super Bowl once in his career and lost to the 49ers in a terrible game. Even so, no one has ever questioned how great he was. Marino was one of the best quarterbacks of all time and was inducted into the Hall of Fame on the first ballot in 2005.
