The Houston Texans are a professional American football team based in Houston. The Texans compete in the National Football League as a member club of the American Football Conference South division and play their home games at NRG Stadium.
The team is head coached by Lovie Smith with the team abbreviation being known as “Hou”.
The team has its home stadium being the NRG Stadium.
When did Oilers change to Texans?
The franchise retained the Houston Oilers’ team history and records, while the team name was officially retired by then-NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue, thus preventing a future Houston, Texas NFL team from using the Houston Oilers’ name.
