American football wide receiver Isaiah Hodgins, who was born on October 21, 1998, plays for the National Football League’s Buffalo Bills (NFL). He was selected by the Bills in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft after playing college football for Oregon State.
Hodgins attended Walnut Creek, California’s Berean Christian High School. He chose Oregon State University (OSU) over offers from schools like Nebraska, Oregon, and Washington State as a 4-star prospect to play collegiate football.
Hodgins was taken by the Buffalo Bills in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, 207th overall. Hodgins and the Bills agreed to a four-year, $3.45 million contract on May 7, 2020, which included a $158,888 signing bonus.
On September 6, 2020, he was put on an injured reserve. On November 24, he was given the go-ahead to leave the injured list and resume practicing with the club. However, on December 8, he underwent shoulder surgery, and the rest of the season was lost.
Hodgins was released by the Bills on August 31, 2021, and the following day he was re-signed to the practice squad. In the Bills’ week, 16 matchups against the New England Patriots on December 26, 2021, Hodgins made his NFL debut.
He signed a reserve/future contract on January 24, 2022, following the Bills’ loss in the Divisional Round of the 2021 Playoffs.
