O’Terrius Jabari Howard, also referred to as O. J. Howard, is a tight end for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League. He was born on November 19, 1994, in Prattville, Alabama, in the United States, to Lamesa Parker-Howard and Kareem Howard. He participated in high school football when a student at Prattville’s Autauga Academy.

He received a five-star rating and was listed as the best tight end in his class by Scout.com and Rivals.com. He committed to playing football at Alabama University. He played collegiate football for the school’s Alabama Crimson Tide from 2013 to Howard played in 13 games as a true freshman at Alabama in 2013, starting five of them. He made his collegiate debut with three receptions for 68 yards in a win over Texas A&M.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected him in the opening round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He and the Buccaneers reached a four-year, $11 million deal in May 2017 that includes a $6.2 million signing bonus. In April 2020, the Buccaneers decide to exercise Howard’s fifth-year option. Its guaranteed worth for the 2021 campaign is $6.013 million. In March 2022, he signed a one-year contract with the Buffalo Bills.
