Tight end Alan Knox plays for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League. On November 14, 1996, he was born in Brentwood, Tennessee, in the United States. He attended St. Paul Christian Academy and Brentwood Academy in Brentwood, Tennessee, where he participated in varsity football as a quarterback and wide receiver.
After graduating from high school, he played NCAA football for the Ole Miss Rebels at the University of Mississippi from 2015 to 2018. While still a student, he hauled in 39 receptions for 605 yards. He decided in 2018 to forgo his senior year and instead focus on the 2019 NFL Draft.
In the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft, Knox was taken by the Buffalo Bills with the 96th overall pick. On June 14, 2019, Knox and the company reached an agreement on a 12-month contract. For 67 yards and a touchdown in September 2019, Knox has three receptions. In his first season, he caught 28 of 50 targets for 388 yards and two touchdowns.
After a COVID-19 virus test revealed a positive result in October 2020, he was put on the reserve/COVID-19 list. In November of that year, he joined the military. In 2021, he started to contribute more to the Bills’ passing offense.
