The professional name fro David Lee Quessenberry Jr. is David Quessenberry. He plays for the National Football League’s Buffalo Bills as a football guard. He was born in La Jolla, California on August 24, 1990. He took part in football and lacrosse while attending La Costa Canyon High School in Carlsbad, California. He played tight end for La Costa Canyon.
He played collegiate football for the San Jose State Spartans squad at San José State University after graduating from high school. The summer before his sophomore year of 2010, he received his first athletic scholarship. Quessenberry was named team captain during his senior year in 2012, which also saw the team win the Military Bowl. He was also a finalist for the Burlsworth Trophy as the best non-scholarship NCAA FBS player. He was also under consideration for a Lombardi Award.
He was included in the Tennessee Titans’ practice squad in September 2018. On December 31, 2018, he and the Titans reached an agreement on a reserve/future deal. He was released by the Titans on September 5, 2020, and the following day he was added to the practice squad. In time for the team’s games in weeks five and seven against the Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers, he was added to the active roster on October 13 and October 24. After every game, he was added back to the practice squad. On October 27, 2020, he was added to the Titans’ active roster. He signed a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills in April 2022.
