Christian Benford is a cornerback for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League. He plays American football. He is 93 kilograms and 1.85 meters tall. As a senior at Randallstown High School, where he played football for Maryland in the Big 33 Football Classic, he was chosen All-Metro and All-Baltimore County. Despite receiving a scholarship offer from Morgan State, he chose Villanova to play college football.
From 2018 through 2021, he played collegiate football for the Villanova Wildcats. As a true freshman, he made nine starts and appeared in nine games. He was also named the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Defensive Rookie of the Year. As a result of his 49 tackles, six pass breakups, and five interceptions, he was also selected third-team All-CAA. In his ten games as a sophomore, he made seven starts, intercepted one pass, and broke up five others.
In his junior year, which was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic and played in the spring of 2021, he was named first-team All-CAA. He made 39 tackles as a senior, added seven interceptions, broke up 18 passes, which was the most in NCAA Division I FCS, and was once more selected to the first team All-CAA.
