DaQuan Jones is well-known for playing defensive lineman in American football with the National Football League’s Buffalo Bills. He stands 1.93 meters tall and weighs 145 kilograms. He played basketball, football, and shot put when a student at Johnson City Senior High School.
He attended Pennsylvania State University after high school, where he played college football for the Penn State Nittany Lions squad. He played sparingly in his freshmen and sophomore seasons until taking the starting defensive tackle position for Penn State in 2012. He had 22 tackles, two for a loss, and one and a half sacks.
The Tennessee Titans selected him with the 112nd overall pick in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. Before suffering a torn biceps and being placed on injured reserve on December 4, 2017, he started the first 12 games of 2017. With 31 tackles and a career-high 3.5 sacks, he finished the season.
Jones and the Titans agreed to a three-year, $21 million contract extension in March 2018. He was added to the team’s reserve/COVID-19 list in September 2020. He becomes functional in October 2020. In April 2021, he agreed to a one-year deal with the Carolina Panthers. On March 16, 2022, he committed to a two-year deal with the Buffalo Bills.
