At Lake Forest Academy, Daniel Joseph earned three letters under head coach Robin Bowkett. During his senior year, he was chosen to be the captain. Joseph was chosen for the 2015 News-Gazette All-State special mention team and received an invitation to the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl.
He received a special mention for All-State in 2015 from the Chicago Tribune and was named the Catholic Red Division Defensive MVP that year. As a senior, Joseph was chosen as the team’s MVP.
As a defensive lineman, he recorded 72 tackles, 2.0 sacks, 25 tackles for loss, and two interceptions. As a tight end, he had 10 receiving touchdowns. Throughout his junior season, he played tight end and hauled in 26 passes for 498 yards and eight touchdowns.
He made three total tackles, with 2.0 of them being for loss and 1.0 being a sack. Joesph completed a five turnover night for the Penn State defense by forcing his first career fumble while sacking Panther quarterback Aaron Winchester in the fourth quarter.
