Chase Edmonds is a running back for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League. He was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, in the United States of America. He participated in both basketball and football for the Panthers at Central Dauphin East High School. After graduating from high school, he played football for the Fordham Rams while attending Fordham University. He participated for Fordham as a player from 2014 to 2017.
He ran for 1838 yards and 23 touchdowns on 294 attempts, averaging 6.3 yards in his first 14 games. Aside from that, he also had 19 receptions for 121 yards and a touchdown. The Arizona Cardinals selected Edmonds 134th overall in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He signed his rookie contract on May 11, 2018. On September 9, 2018, he played in his first NFL game against the Washington Redskins, losing 24-6.
He gained 24 yards on four carries and another 24 on four receptions. For the first time in his career, he started the 2021 season as the Cardinals’ starting running back, ahead of undrafted free agent signee James Conner. He started the first nine games, but Week 9 saw a terrible ankle injury. He agreed to a two-year, $12.6 million deal with the Miami Dolphins in March 2022.
