In his first 14 games, he averaged 6.3 yards per carry while rushing for 1838 yards and 23 touchdowns on 294 attempts. He also made 19 receptions for 121 yards and a touchdown, in addition to everything else. Edmonds was taken 134th overall by the Arizona Cardinals in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft. On May 11, 2018, he signed his rookie contract. He participated in his debut NFL game on September 9, 2018, and lost 24-6 to the Washington Redskins.
