American football tight end Hunter Long was born on August 19, 1998, and now plays for the Miami Dolphins, who are members of the National Football League.

He received a football scholarship to Boston College, where he played college football, and was selected by the Dolphins in the third round of the NFL Draft in 2021.

Long spent his childhood years in Exeter, New Hampshire. After receiving his diploma from Exeter High School, he attended Deerfield Academy in Deerfield, Massachusetts, for one year to complete his post-secondary education.

When he was in high school, he played both tight end and defensive end. As a senior, he had 30 catches for 508 yards and two touchdowns, in addition to seven sacks. On defence, he had seven tackles for loss.

He made a verbal commitment to play collegiate football for Boston College. During his first year at Boston College in 2017, Long did not participate in any sporting events.

He played in a total of 12 games in the 2018 season, recording four receptions for 103 yards and two touchdowns.  Long ended the 2019 campaign with 28 receptions, 509 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

He returned in 2020 and reclaimed his position as the starting tight end. Long was selected by the Miami Dolphins to play for their squad in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft. With this choice, Long was ranked 81st overall.

Long signed a rookie deal with the Miami Dolphins on July 26, 2021, and on that day he officially joined the team.
