Michael Deiter is an American football center for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Wisconsin and was drafted by the Dolphins in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
Deiter received their secondary education from the Genoa Area High School located in Genoa, Ohio. During his time there, he participated in the high school football team.
In 2012, he was honored with all-conference honors from the Northern Buckeye Conference for his play on the offensive line as well as on the defensive line during his junior year.
During his senior year, he was recognized as the lineman of the year for the Northern Buckeye Conference and earned first-team All-Ohio honors on the offensive line. He also received honors as the Associated Press District IV Lineman of the Year and Great Lakes Region Lineman of the Year, all while leading Genoa (OH) to a record of 10–1 for the season.
At Wisconsin, Deiter sat out his freshman year with a medical redshirt. In 2015, although still wearing a redshirt, he started all 13 of the team’s games, earning his first letter in the process. He started seven times at left guard and six times at center, including all five of the season’s final contests.
