Connor Williams plays professional football as offensive guard for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League. He was born on May 12, 1997, in Coppell, Texas, in the United States of America. He attended Coppell High School. As a freshman right tackle, he started the final three games. As a sophomore, he switched positions from tight end to left tackle, but by the conclusion of the season.
He was given a full scholarship to play NCAA football for the Texas Longhorns of the University of Texas at Austin. As a freshman, he started all 12 of his games as left tackle. As a junior, he suffered a left knee injury in the third game against USC. He returned to play in the eleventh game against West Virginia University. In November 2017, Williams decided to forego his senior year in favor of the 2018 NFL Draft and to withdraw from the 2017 Texas Bowl.
The Dallas Cowboys selected him in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He was chosen to play left guard for the team’s first eight games. In their inaugural season in 2019, the Cowboys started him at left guard. Williams and the Miami Dolphins reached an agreement on a two-year, $14 million contract on March 17, 2022.
