Andries, an offensive lineman from Marshall who is 6-6 and 335 pounds, said on social media on Sunday that he would enter the NFL Draft following the bowl game.
Because the 2020 season was ineligible due to the COVID-18 epidemic, Andries had the option of coming back in 2022 for a sixth and final season. Center John Michael Schmitz said last week that he will be joining Chris Autman-Bell, Mo Ibrahim, Tanner Morgan, and the Gophers in 2022.
In 2022, the offensive line for Minnesota will appear different. Daniel Faalele has agreed to attend the Senior Bowl alongside Andries. Conner Olson and Sam Schlueter are redshirt seniors playing in their last year of eligibility.
After the season, the media selected Andries for the First Team All-Big Ten. He started for the Gophers and had a 29-16 record. He is currently pursuing a master’s in applied business analytics.
