Christian Wilkins plays as a defensive end for the Miami Dolphins, who are members of the National Football League.
Wilkins was a former student at Framingham High School. He was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, but after his freshman year, he moved to Suffield, Connecticut, to attend Suffield Academy.
In his senior year of high school, he played in 35 games and recorded 253 tackles and 28.5 sacks. Wilkins was given a rating of five stars as a recruit and was considered to be one of the best players in his class. He made a verbal commitment to play college football for the Clemson University Tigers.
In his freshman year at Clemson in 2015, Wilkins participated in 15 games, making one start, and finished with 33 tackles, two sacks, and two forced fumbles. He was a finalist for the Bronko Nagurski Trophy in 2016 as a sophomore and was named an All-American by the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA).
Wilkins was a member of the Clemson squad that won the 2017 College Football Playoff National Championship with a score of 35–31 over Alabama which was rated number one in the country.
Additionally, he was a member of the Clemson team that won the National Championship in 2018, when they defeated Alabama in the game led by Trevor Lawrence by a score of 44-16.
In 2018, Wilkins scored a touchdown for the Tigers in both their games against Florida State and South Carolina.
