Porter Gustin is an American football defensive end for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at USC.
Following the 2019 NFL Draft, the New Orleans Saints decided to take a chance on Gustin and sign him as an undrafted free agent. On August 31, 2019, he was released from his obligations.
Gustin was given a spot on the Cleveland Browns practice squad on November 4, 2019, after being signed by the team. On November 22, 2019, he was elevated to a position on the active roster.
The team put Gustin on the reserve/COVID-19 list on November 26, 2020, and he wasn’t activated until December 8 of that same year.
During the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Wild Card round of the playoffs, Gustin picked off a ball that was delivered by Ben Roethlisberger, helping his team to a 48–37 victory.
On March 5, 2021, the Browns extended a tender for Gustin to become their exclusive rights-free agent. On April 15th, he put his signature on the deal for one year.
