Strong spent his childhood in Little Rock, Arkansas, and received his high school diploma from John L. McClellan.
While playing for McClellan in his junior year, he carried for 2,248 yards and 30 touchdowns, helping the team win the state title game for Class 5A.
Strong carried for 1,423 total yards and scored 25 touchdowns during his senior season, despite suffering an injury that ended his season during Little Rock McClellan’s final drive of the regular game in 2016 versus Pulaski Academy.
