Nelson Efamehule Agholor, a wide receiver with the New England Patriots of the National Football League, wears the number 15 jersey. Agholor, who was born in Lagos, Nigeria, came to the US when he was five years old.
While attending Berkeley Preparatory School in Tampa, Florida, he took part in the running back, wide receiver, and defensive back teams for the Berkeley Buccaneers. He further enrolled at the University of Southern California.
The Philadelphia Eagles selected him in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft after he played college football for the University of Southern California. He signed a four-year contract on May 7, 2015, with a signing bonus of $5.1 million and an estimated value of $9.4 million.
He played for the Eagles for five seasons, winning Super Bowl LII during that time. Before joining the Patriots, Agholor spent one season playing for the Las Vegas Raiders.
On March 25, 2020, Agholor and the Las Vegas Raiders reached an agreement on a one-year deal. Agholor had competition for the starting wide receiver job in training camp from Tyrell Williams, Zay Jones, Hunter Renfrow, and rookie wide receivers Henry Ruggs and Bryan Edwards.
Agholor and the New England Patriots came to terms on a $26 million, two-year contract on March 19, 2021. Against the Miami Dolphins, Agholor caught Mac Jones’ first touchdown pass.
Agholor has average stature, strong speed, and quickness (4.42 40 times), but his role restricts his potential.
