Josh Hammond participates in American football as a wide receiver for the National Football League’s New England Patriots. Josh is 88 kilograms and 1.83 meters tall. He participated in football for the school’s football squad while attending Hallandale High School. He spent four seasons playing collegiate football for the Florida Gators at the University of Florida after graduating from high school.
In 49 games, he had 87 receptions for 1,138 yards and six touchdowns while also rushing for 134 yards and two more. On April 25, 2020, he agreed to terms with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent. On August 31, 2021, at the conclusion of training camp, the Jaguars released him; he was later re-signed to the team’s practice squad.
He was added to the Jaguars’ active roster on December 26, 2021, in time for the team’s Week 16 matchup against the New York Jets, when he made his NFL debut. He committed on January 10, 2022, to a reserve/future contract. May 16, 2022 marked his release. He was picked up by the Philadelphia Eagles in May 2022 off waivers. The waiver was granted on July 26, 2022. The New England Patriots acquired him in July 2022.
