Jakobi Meyers is a wide receiver for the New England Patriots of the National Football League.

Meyers received his secondary education at Arabia Mountain High School in Lithonia, Georgia, where he also participated in high school football.

Meyers was a student-athlete at NC State from 2015 to 2018. Meyers was recruited as a quarterback but switched positions after his freshman year as a major member of the scout team and a redshirt year.

After being recruited to play quarterback, Meyers decided to switch positions and play receiver instead. He finished his career with 168 receptions, 1,932 yards, and nine touchdowns.

After completing his junior year of college football, he entered his name in the 2019 NFL Draft. In 2018, Meyers eclipsed Torry Holt’s NC State single-season receptions record with 92 catches.

In 2019, Meyers became a member of the New England Patriots as an undrafted free agent after signing with the team.

In his first game, which was the Patriots’ preseason opener against the Detroit Lions, he led the game with six receptions, had a game-high 69 yards receiving, and scored two touchdowns. The Patriots won 31–3.

Meyers once again had a game-high six receptions for 82 yards in the Patriots’ second preseason game against the Tennessee Titans. He also caught a two-point conversion as New England prevailed 22-17.
