On Tuesday, the New England Patriots and former UCF wide receiver Tre Nixon agreed to terms on a contract worth a total of $3,578,678 over four years.
During the NFL Draft of 2021, Nixon was chosen in the seventh round with the 242nd overall pick. In this year’s draft, the Patriots chose him as one of eight players to add to their roster.
According to the contract information obtained by Spotrac.com, the agreement stipulates an annual income of an average of $894,670, with a total of $98,678 of the contract being guaranteed. In addition, Nixon is awarded a signing bonus in the amount of $98,678.
Along with fellow receiver Jacob Harris, defensive backs Richie Grant, Aaron Robinson, Tay Gowan, and receiver Nixon were taken in the NFL Draft last month, setting a new school record for the number of players selected from the University of Central Florida.
During his career with the Knights, he had 108 receptions for a total of 1,652 yards and scored 13 touchdowns. He was named to the honorable mention team of the All-American Athletic Conference in 2019 after finishing the season with 49 receptions for 830 yards.
Nixon was the 12th University of Central Florida receiver to be selected in the NFL Draft in the school’s history, and the fifth since 2015.
