Even though Tent Brown’s second tenure with the New England Patriots has not yet begun, he has already expressed his desire to continue playing with the team beyond this season in Foxboro.
Brown was a member of the Patriots offensive line that won Super Bowl LIII and spent the 2018 season with the team.
During his time with the Patriots, Brown was a major contributor to the line’s success. The seasoned offensive tackle got a sizable deal with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2019 NFL free agency, but it didn’t work out with the AFC West team.
In March, the Patriots made a trade to get him once more, and while this is only his second time visiting New England, he is keeping his fingers crossed for an extended stay this time around.
Since Brown’s contract is only good until the 2017 season, he will be able to test the waters of the free agent market once more in March.
If 2021 turns out to be a successful year for everyone involved, the Patriots should strongly consider offering Brown a multi-year contract at a fair price and signing him to it.
The seasoned player, who is currently 29 years old and is still in the peak of his career, has shown that he is a terrific fit with the Patriots offense so far.
