For the New England Patriots of the National Football League, Trent Brown plays offensive tackle professionally. He is 172 kg and 2.03 m tall. He went the Deerfield-Windsor School before switching to Westover Comprehensive High School. He began attending Georgia Military Collegiate, where he spent two years playing college football for the GMC Bulldogs.
He was recruited by several NCAA Division I schools after showcasing his abilities at the junior college level, where he was named a second team NJCAA All-American in 2012. He ultimately decided to continue his college career at the University of Florida after signing a national letter of intent. In May 2013, he started playing college football for the Florida Gators team at the university.
Brown was chosen by the San Francisco 49ers in the seventh round of the 2015 NFL Draft in may of that year. He was traded to the New England Patriots in April 2018. He agreed to a four-year, $66 million deal with the Oakland Raiders in March 2019 that included a $36.75 million guarantee.
He was traded to the New England Patriots once more in March 2021. He was selected to start at right tackle for the Patriots. After missing the first three games due to a calf injury, he was put on injured reserve in October 2021. He becomes operational in November 2021. On March 21, 2022, the Patriots re-signed him to a two-year, $13 million contract.
