A linebacker for the New England Patriots of the National Football League, Lyndell Santrell Wilson is also known by his professional name, Mack Wilson. At 1.85 m tall and 106 kg, he is also quite tall. His high school was Montgomery, Alabama’s George Washington Carver.
He signed with the University of Alabama to play collegiate football as a five-star prospect following high school. He was an Alabama Crimson Tide football player in college. As a true freshman at Alabama in 2016, he took part in every one of the 15 games and made eight tackles. He had 40 tackles, four interceptions, and one touchdown in 12 games as a sophomore in 2017.
He also played in 12 games with two starts. He recorded 71 tackles, one sack, and two interceptions as a junior in 2018. Following the campaign, Wilson made the decision to forego his senior year and declare for the 2019 NFL Draft. His selection came in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns.
He had a career-high five tackles in week 9’s 24-19 loss to the Denver Broncos, leading the club, and made his first career sack of Brandon Allen. When Kyler Murray, a fellow rookie, threw a ball in week 15’s 38-24 loss to the Arizona Cardinals, he intercepted it for the first time in his career. The New England Patriots acquired him in a trade in March 2022.
