Michael Carter is a running back for the New York Jets of the National Football League. His college football career was spent in North Carolina, where he played for the North Carolina Tar Heels football team.
Carter spent his childhood in Navarre, Florida, where he also received his high school education. As a junior, he played in three games before suffering an injury that ended his season. During those three games, he carried for 526 yards and nine touchdowns.
Carter rushed for 2,536 yards and accumulated 3,345 all-purpose yards and 45 total touchdowns during his senior season. As a result of his outstanding performance, USA Today recognized Carter as the Florida Offensive Player of the Year.
