La’Mical Perine is an American football running back who is a free agent. He played college football at Florida and was drafted by the New York Jets in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Perine was selected by the New York Jets in the fourth round with the 120th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. He made his NFL debut in Week 2 of the 2020 season against the San Francisco 49ers.
He had three carries for 17 rushing yards in the 31–13 loss. Perine scored his first career touchdown on October 25, 2020, in an 18–10 loss to the Buffalo Bills.
He was placed on injured reserve on November 24, 2020, with a high ankle sprain. On December 26, 2020, Perine was activated off of injured reserve.
He was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list by the team on December 30, 2020. Perine finished his rookie season with 64 carries for 232 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns to go along with 11 receptions for 63 receiving yards in ten games. Perine was used sparingly in the 2021 season, only appearing in four games.
On August 30, 2022, Perine was released by the Jets. On September 1, 2022, Perine was signed to the Philadelphia Eagles practice squad. He was released on September 7.
