During his senior season, he finished with a rushing total of 1,492 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Perine competed in the sprints as well as the jumps during his time on the track and field team. He won first place in the long jump (20 ft, 8 in) and triple jump (46 ft, 0.5 in) events at the 2011 Manor Relay. He also served as the anchor for the winning 4 x 100 and 4 x 200 relay teams. In 2011, he ran the 100-meter dash in 11.37 seconds, which was his personal best.
