For the New York Jets of the National Football League, Braxton Berrios plays wide receiver professionally in American football. He is 1.75 m tall and 86 kg in weight. His football career and high school education were both completed at Leesville Road High School. A four-star wide receiver, he chose Miami over other Power 5 colleges including Ohio State, Clemson, Oregon, and many more.
He participated in college football for the University of Miami’s Miami Hurricanes squad. As a true freshman, he participated and finished the year with 21 receptions for 232 yards and 3 touchdowns. He helped his team defeat the Seminoles for the first time since 2009 in 2017 by catching two touchdown passes against Florida State.
In the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft, the New England Patriots selected him. He was put on injured reserve in September of last year. When the Patriots advanced to Super Bowl LIII and defeated the Los Angeles Rams, he received a Super Bowl ring. He was released in August 2019 after the final roster cuts. The New York Jets picked him up off waivers in September 2019.
He scored his first professional touchdown off a 30-yard throw during his second season with the Jets. He received first-team All-Pro recognition for his kickoff returns. In terms of yards gained on kickoff returns and yards gained on punt returns, he completed the season third in the NFL. He renewed his deal with the Jets for two years and $12 million.
