Glaser, a three-star recruit out of Solon High School in Solon, Ohio, received offers from almost a dozen different institutions, including Syracuse, Cincinnati, Toledo, Iowa State, and Cincinnati. Glaser chose to enroll at Virginia, and his choice was rewarded when he was selected as one of the Cavaliers’ 17 true freshmen.
After serving as a backup during 2018, Glaser took over as UVA’s starting right guard for the 2019 college football season. As a super senior in 2021, he definitely had his best year, helping Virginia set single-season records in passing offense and total offense.
Actually, Glaser joined the Chiefs as one of two rookie minicamp tryout players. Glaser, a 22-year-old undrafted free agent, is among the youngest players Kansas City signed from this class. He started 44 games at right or left guard since 2017 in his career, giving him a ton of experience while playing for the Cavaliers.
As a versatile player, Glaser can play either guard position and will compete for a bench role. The odds are against him making the 53-man roster right now, but if he keeps impressing the coaching staff as he did after rookie minicamp, he could be able to get a spot on the practice squad.
