Nathaniel William Herbig is an offensive lineman for the New York Jets of the National Football League. Herbig was born in Lihue, Hawaii, and his childhood home was in Kalaheo, Hawaii.
Herbig moved from Kauai to Oahu following his freshman year of high school so that he could attend Saint Louis School in Honolulu.
As a senior, he was selected to the first team of All-State. After completing his junior year, Herbig made the decision to play collegiate football at Stanford.
However, he later changed his mind and reopened his recruitment shortly after the conclusion of his senior season. After taking into consideration the offers from California and Washington, he ultimately decided to recommit to Stanford.
