In American football, Vinny Curry plays defensive end for the New York Jets of the National Football League. He is 1.91 meters tall and 127 kilograms. He was a Neptune High student. While playing college football for the Marshall Thundering Herd at Marshall University from 2007 to 2011, he recorded a career-high 12 sacks.
In 2011, he was a senior and registered 74 tackles, 11 sacks, and 6 forced fumbles. With 11 sacks, they had the sixth-most overall total and the second-most forced fumbles in the nation with 6. He was the first member of the Marshall team to earn the C-USA Defensive Player of the Year award since Albert McClellan in 2006.
