Defensive end for the New York Jets of the National Football League, Vincent Curry plays football. He is 1.91 m tall and 127 kg in weight. He went to Neptune High School and represented Marshall University’s Marshall Thundering Herd football team in college. Curry’s breakthrough season came in 2010, his junior year, when he recorded a career-high 12 sacks.
He recorded 74 tackles, 11 sacks, and 6 forced fumbles in 2011 as a senior. Since Albert McClellan in 2006, he became the first player from Marshall to win C-USA Defensive Player of the Year. The Philadelphia Eagles selected Curry in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft.
He agreed to a three-year, $23 million contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on March 19, 2018. After one season, the Buccaneers waived him in February 2019. He re-signed with the Eagles on a one-year contract in August 2020. The injury reserve was activated on September 15, 2020.
On October 7, he was given the go-ahead to leave the injured reserve and resume team practices. He became operational on October 17. On March 24, 2021, he signed with the New York Jets. He re-signed with the Jets in April 2022. On September 1, 2022, he went on injured reserve.
