Marcell Harris plays American football for the New York Jets of the National Football League as a linebacker. He participated in collegiate football at Florida. He is 98 kg in weight and 1.83 meters tall. He attended Dr. Phillips High School. After graduating from high school, he enrolled at the University of Florida, where he played college football for the Florida Gators team.
He made 102 tackles and two interceptions between 2014 and 2016. He suffered a torn Achilles tendon, which prevented him from taking part in the 2017 Olympics. Harris was chosen by the San Francisco 49ers in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft. In September 2018, he was placed on injured reserve.
He was immediately added to the practice squad following his release from the 49ers in August 2019. He was added to the roster of participants in October 2019. In their Week 13 road loss against the Baltimore Ravens, which was decided by a score of 20-17, Harris forced a fumble and recovered the lost object.
